What is a registered migration agent and how can we help?

A registered migration agent has the qualifications and authority to assist both individuals and organisations with visa applications.

To be a migration agent, an individual must satisfy a number of requirements including minimum educational standards. They must either be a practising lawyer or have completed the Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice including all assessments which form part of this graduate certificate. Upon completing either qualification, they can then apply for registration which must be accepted prior to them being eligible to provide advice.

These qualifications and strict requirements for registration ensure that a registered migration agent can give you the most accurate advice and help you prepare your documents for your visa application.

How can Four Points Immigration help with my visa application?

The rules around migration and eligibility are complex and changing frequently in Australia. Our role is to stay up-to-date with these changes so that we can provide the most accurate advice to our clients.

Explaining visa options

With individuals, we can assess your personal situation and help explain what visa options are available to you. In doing so, we help prevent any costly mistakes or submissions that are unlikely to succeed.

Preparation of visa applications

Visa applications can be challenging and confusing, particularly if your personal situation is complex. Four Points Immigration is able to assist with gathering the required information and lodging a well-prepared and thorough application.  This can make it easier and faster for you to get a decision on your application.

Follow up on your behalf

Four Points Immigration is authorised to contact the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) on your behalf.  This allows us to keep you up-to-date with your application and how it may be affected by visa processing times or changes in legislation.

We can help with complex applications

It would be nice if all visa applications were straightforward.  Unfortunately, this is often not the case. Complex applications are where a registered migration agent such as Four Points Immigration can really provide benefit individuals.

We have many case studies that highlight complex visas that required detailed investigation and research resulting in successful outcomes. One for a Distinguished Talent 124 visa was particularly challenging for a highly respected professor from overseas who works with people with disabilities.

What is the process?

If you need help with an application or just need some advice, fill out our enquiry form on our contact page. One of our migration agents will be in touch to book a no-obligation consultation or 20 minutes call to discuss your situation and determine if we are able to help.
